starting a diet

hello, i was just recently diagnosed with a fatty liver disease and im only 19, so i decided today i will start a diet and exercise. currently i weight 292 pounds and i am 6ft 1in tall. i have cut out all fast food and pop but i want to go further, can some one help me set up a exercise and diet program that i can do mostly at home, with out a membership or spending alot on foods. id like a diet that revolves around chicken. ive never done anykind of exercises or diets so and information will help, i aslo work a very active job, i would asphalt const. thanks in advance.

    You have the best tool right here. Set up your MFP account, follow the calorie guidelines it gives you, log everything honestly and accurately and you can succeed.

    honestly we had the same starting weight, as a male with close to 300 u can eat whatever u want and still loose weigth. Just get some protein rich (tuna,eggs,chicken) food in and drop the soda.

    Get into a routine, work out, dont, work out, dont...

    When i started i couldent do a single pushup, this was 7 month ago, now I can do 50 without breaking a sweat. I switched to 1hand...

    I still dont like sports, its just a nother chore I have to do...

    Reducing fast food and pop consumption is a great way to start, but the best thing to do is to use MFP to count your calories.

    Follow the guide above, set a moderate deficit, and go.

    You don't have to completely stop eating fast food, just make sure your overall diet is healthy.

    Eat plenty of protein (it helps you feel full plus other stuff), eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

    I forgot.. dont listen to the girls, your BMR is close to 2500, just eat. Get rid of a few bad habits and your fine.
