Oils?

What kind of oil do you cook with? I use mostly olive oil and coconut oil.

I usually cook with olive oil or vegetable oil. I've heard that coconut oil adds kind of a light sweetness to foods, but it's hard for me to make the transition from cosmetic to culinary, mainly due to the fact that I use it in my hair and on my skin...lol

Canola or olive oil. Or sesame oil if making a stir-fry. Or butter for pancakes.

I actually prefer to cook using a little bit of butter (if I'm frying something) because I hate how the oils taste! Otherwise I use extra virgin olive oil.

Coconut oil or butter for frying. Since the smoke point of olive oil is much lower I use it mainly as a dressing or dip.

Extra virgin olive oil if I really need oil. I'm actually starting to use alternatives to using oil at the moment.

If I want food cooked on the stovetop, I actually fry my food with water. Yes, water. I've also started boiling my food at lot more, lately. It helps a ton.

If I cook in the oven, I wrap everything in foil completely and seal the moisture in. I've been trying to cut down on oil.

I'm sort of a foodie, so in my cabinet: Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Toasted Sesame Oil, Roasted Peanut Oil, Toasted Walnut Oil, Coconut Oil. I also have non-stick cooking spray and non-dairy (out of necessity) butter spread.

Harris Teeter Canola Oil. It seems to work well for me.
Consider trying a small bottle to see if you like it. It
comes in a pretty small size.
