Save some calories for a late night snack.
Don't eat dinner until late, so that your binge can be dinner.
If there are trigger foods that cause you to overeat, avoid them. Just don't buy them.
Have low calorie snacks on hand - air popped corn,pre-cut veggie sticks, low cal yogurt

Try logging all food that you eat. You can change your meal names to refer to time of day so you can space out your meals in a way that works for you without leaving you starving and ready to binge. Also, log your food. And, log your food. I am repeating myself since I noticed you haven't recorded in your diary most of the month. Being aware of what you are eating is one of the most important aspects of changing your relationship with food. Log binges too, it could be a helpful wake up call. The day I realized I was eating 500 cals a day more than I needed opened my eyes. Be honest, hide nothing, then you can make real changes.

Stress is difficult. Avoiding the kitchen and comfort eating can be hard. I find it is best to remove myself from the house like taking my dogs for a walk. I also enjoy yoga which has a relaxation and meditation aspect for it. I would highly recommend it.

I also got a lovely tea flavor, its all natural and has stevia as a sweetener. It has these lovely caramel notes come out when it is brewed. It gives me a no calorie sweet treat and I take 15 minutes to enjoy it without interruption. I made this a special moment for me to unwind without food.

Good luck on your journey, hope this helps.

It appears that you don't really log your food here so I can't help you based on your diary. I can however tell you that I went through the same thing. I always wanted to binge at night time. After logging, journaling and speaking to a nutritionist I found that it was because I was not eating enough in the early part of the day. I never ate breakfast, and had only a sandwich for lunch and would save my calories to have a dinner with my family. I didn't do this on purpose, as I found I just wasnt hungry until the afternoon. I found that once I started eating a little something for breakfast, and a mid morning snack before my lunch the urges to want to eat alot late at night stopped. Good luck to you. :flowerforyou:

Take whoever is stressing you outside and beat them with a stick until you feel better. Bonus exercise, too. Unless it's a toddler. In which case, try yoga or a kick boxing class, maybe?

"Binge" is highly subjective. Can you elaborate on what you consider a binge?

I have this same problem....particularly on the weekends when I'm up late. It's strange I only feel the need to binge at night, which makes me think it's more exhaustion or dehydration than hunger. To satisfy the urge, I usually go for some jerky, pop chips, or air popped popcorn. You can eat tons of that stuff and not completely destroy your calorie goal for the day.

Most of the people here are giving you advice for avoiding "snacking" or "slightly overeating" at night. If that's what you're doing, that's appropriate advice.

However, if you are actually bingeing at night, those suggestions won't help. Bingeing is behavior that is out of your control, completely, and typically consists of thousands of calories of intake. If you are actually bingeing, you need to seek professional help.
  • thanks guys great advise I have had 2 nights of non bingeing pretty super excited!!! I will try logging all my foods so you guys can get a better idea of whats going on So I will keep u posted on my progress. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions!!!
