Not Much, Just A New Best Time

I have bested my 5K running time yet again, but I improved my time by 1 minute 20 seconds in just a few days!!! My old time had been 35 minutes 30 seconds, then the other day, I beat it and got 34:55. This morning, I TOTALLY surprised myself by running 33:25!!!! That's about 11 minutes 8 seconds a mile. I couldn't believe it! I expected to only beat my time by 15-20 seconds. haha I'm so happy right now. May not be a big deal to non-runners, but it's a big accomplishment for runners.

You know, I think that would be alot better. Instead of telling everyone what I WANT to do, maybe I should tell them what I can already do! You're so smart, and thank you!0 -
Great job! Improving on your PR is always a great feeling. Its that feeling that you pushed yourself as hard as you could.... and you survived!
Fabulous job! And good job getting a workout in during this holiday season!0 -
Sweet! Good for you. I still cant quite maintain a 10 minute mile for more than a mile or so. I read that intervals really help speed it up, but I'm pretty sure my course has intervals built in. (The inclines are crazy and plentiful). On long runs (5+), it's best if I stay between 12 and 12:30 minute miles or I peter out. I hope to get to a consistant 11 minute mile for the longs and 10 or less for 5K or shorter. We'll see.
Again, congrats to you!!! PRs are awesome.0 -
