How much is classed as a 'cup' of water?

I have a 500ml water bottle... how many 'cups' would this be :S

  • 1 cup is 236 ml roughly.. so you will be having just over 2 cups.

    I think they are considering a "cup" to be 8 fluid ounces which is 236ml. So your 500ml bottle would be just over 2 "cups".

    Two - it's a little over 16 ounces so MFP wants you to drink that bottle 4 times/day. I use a 20 oz cup and try to drink it at least twice at work each day and then have water with my dinner. Sometimes I drink more than that if it's hot or I'm active. (I drank another 20oz at soccer last night - I'm the coach, but I don't just tell the kids what to do. I try to show them. I'll drink a couple of extra liters on a day of hiking.)
