The goal you see is the net of food minus exercise. You want to NET 1200 (or whatever) calories in a day.

So when you exercise, you subtract those calories from what you've already eaten that day, to give you a number that represents what you have left.

Think of it like money, where you can spend $1200, but if you exercise, you earn additional $$ to spend.

    ^^^ What she said.

Food is how many calories you consumed total in food on a given day.

Exercise is how many calories you burned on a given day

    Net is FOOD - Exercise.

You want to eat at least 50% of your exercise calories back to fuel your body during exercises.

Ok so just always eat what the calorie remaining show I will adjust depending my exercises right...is this what I need to do like right now my goal always show 1 200 but it said the reaming is 1117 so I should try to reach that 1117 but I will probably go up during the day since I move an exercises... so always follow this number or I'm wrong with what I'm saying?

The posters above covered the calories, but I wanted to suggest changing your activity level up out of sedentary if you're logging a walk to your car.
Daily movement isn't counted as exercise, it should be counted in Activity Level.

Oh I taught because I sat in an office all day long and don't move much except that I go for a 20 min walk at coffee am and pm and also If I can at lunch for an hours.... that I need to keep this at sedentary...

The reason I said that It log maybe the walk for my car to the office well It not me that log it its because I have the flex bracelet from fit bit so I log all my movement I guess that why I think it was showing on my phone that -17 exercises maybe... Yes I understand that walking to my car is not exercise really.... its day to day stuff...

So do I still need to change the sedentary stuff... god t his is complicated.... lol

I would put lightly active. Sedentary would be someone who absolutely does not move from the couch/bed/wheelchair bound. If you're walking from your car to work, up around the office at all, walking at lunch, you're at least lightly active.

Possibly. But it's not a race. I see you have 48 pounds to lose according to your ticker...you should only be aiming for 1-1.5 lb/week anyway. Sustainability is key in weight loss.

I saw in one of your comments on here that you needed help switching your activity level from sedentary to lightly active, and weren't sure where to do that. For that, you'll need to go on the MFP website, not the phone application. On the top of the homepage after you have logged in, click on "settings", and then "update diet/fitness profile" (ou "Mettre à jour le profil régime/fitness" si vous utilisez MFP en Français  ), you will see the option there.

It's not impossible. I'm doing it!!
You don't want to lose fast. It will be sustainable if you go slow. You didn't put it on overnight, so don't expect it to come off overnight.

Don't log the walk from car to office. This is part of your daily activity.
