Chalean extreme followed by Turbo Fire

Hi everyone! I am just about to finish with my first round of Chalean Extreme and I am planning on starting Turbo Fire after I finish. But I am worried about losing the muscle I worked so hard to build during the last three months since Turbo Fire is primarily cardio. I have read about the combo program but really want to do a run through of turbo fire by itself. Has anyone else done turbo fire AFTER chalean extreme? Did you notice a significant muscle loss or did you change some of the workouts to add more weight training to maintain the muscle you built during chalean extreme? I would love to hear your ideas and your experiences to get advice on what exactly I should do next. Thanks!

I've done both programs and the hybrid. The hybrid is honestly my FAV combo as it combines the best of both worlds (HIIT and strength). Is there any particular reason you don't want to do the hybrid right now? There isn't a lot of blatant strength training in TF although there are a few workouts for strength and toning depending on which version you buy but it's NOT the same as CLX. I haven't done TF after CLX, I did TF and then the hybrid so I can't really say anything for sure but just from knowing the products, you'd probably be better off doing the hybrid.

Feel free to friend me, I LOVE talking Chalene! :)
  • I just wanted to do a whole run through of turbo fire, but now I am leaning towards doing th hybrid. Does the hybrid incorporate all the classes in the turbo fire program? Feel free to message me with a response. I did friend you :-) chalean extreme has been amazing for helping me increase my strength. I haven't lost any weight but two months in I have lost 6 inches and I am excited for the final weigh in and measurements! Truth be told I guess I wanted to do a run through of turbo fire because it would actually make the numbers on the scale go down since you aren't focusing on building muscle. I am learning that weight loss isn't just about the numbers on the scale. (I have lost 61 pounds but mfp doesn't reflect that bc I didn't sign up until I quit weight watchers)
Still have 30 ish to go to hit my goal weight!

I am in my last couple of weeks of Jillian Michael's Body Revolution Program. I will be starting the Chalean Extreme/TurboFire hybrid on May 5th. After doing JMBR, I have found a new love for strength training and the hybrid will give me great cardio and strength. The hybrid does not incorporate all the turbo fire classes but it does incorporate most of them. I am using the hybrid found on beachbody and it's 20 weeks. You can google the hybrid schedule to find different versions people have put together. Keep in mind, the beachbody hybrid uses the original turbofire deluxe class package (included stretch 40, upper class, lower class) before they switched them up. I have the new TurboFire deluxe class package and therefore will be making a few class substitutions.

I'm doing a hybrid now, just subbing in TurboFire workouts for some of the cardio in CLX. My schedule now looks like this:

Monday: CLX Circuit 1 + abs
Tuesday: TF HIIT + TF cardio
Wednesday: CLX Circuit 2 + abs
Thursday: TF HIIT + CLX Burn Intervals
Friday: CLX Circuit 3 + abs
Saturday: TF HIIT + cardio (CLX or TF)
Sunday: Stretch 40 or yoga (rest day)

I just pop in whatever cardio I feel like doing or have time for that day. I rotate the ab workouts and sometimes do one of the CLX ab routines, sometimes TF Core 20; it depends on how much time I have.
