Binge, and it's barely noon.

I started the day off fine. an apple and low fat yogurt for breakfast, around 123-130 calories. Then it got worse. My mom offered to take me to the subway in the grocery store since we were shopping, which was okay because I can get healthy and low calorie options from there. I had a 6 inch oven roasted chicken on italian with lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard which came to about 330 calories. Then we went into the cookie isle and my mom bought these smores gold fish cookies. When we got in the car, she asked me to try them and I thought "well a few wont hurt, 52 pieces is only 140 calories" and I did, I ate 53 pieces....then I couldn't stop. I ate the whole bag which was 6 servings! I ate about 822 calories of those cookies, so now my total is 1,276. AND IT'S HARDLY EVEN NOON! What should I do? Should I try to not eat for the rest of the day? I mean a WHOLE BAG OF COOKIES? thats ridiculous! I have no self control, it's horrible. I feel terrible especially because I was finally starting to get muscular I have hardly any time for the rest of the day to exercise so I just don't know what to do.

I would drink plenty of water and eat healthier for the rest of the day..don't starve yourself just because you binged..you'll feel worse tomorrow if you do that.0

Woah woah, we all have these days or two. No need to beat yourself up. Exercise today like normal and eat clean for the rest of the day and track anyway and start fresh again tomorrow. I'd suggest only indulging in sweets you really enjoy or when you can have a controlled portion of them. I have a hard time controlling myself around food like that as well, I can easily eat a bag of cheese puffs by myself so I don't keep them in the house. A piece of sharp cheddar satisfies my cheese craving much better. I'd ask your mom to also try to keep trigger foods out of the house and not pressure you to try any. An apple or strawberry dipped in melting chocolate is a much better sweet indulgence than goldfish. Either way, one day or one binge will not ruin your progress.0

Eat normal the rest of the day. 800 cals in cookies is hardly anything to worry about, log it and move on. This will only derail your efforts if you let it.0

Step one is don't freak out. Crap happens.
Second don't starve yourself, that's a terrible idea and will only make you want to eat more tomorrow.
Eat a little lighter than you normally would, maybe make dinner a big salad with some lean protein, but like you said, it's barely noon, you can't just not eat for the rest of the day.
800 calories over isn't anything nuts if you look at things weekly. That's only a little over 100 calories you need to burn off in the next week. One day isn't going to ruin anything.0 -
Deep breath... its gonna be ok. Yes that is a LOT of cookies but instead of beating yourself up about it, just let it go. I mean, it doesnt happen every day right? Sometimes we just fall into little pits but its nothing to get out of. I would just focus on eating right the rest of the day, see if you cant squeeze maybe even 15 minutes of exercise in today and not let it get you down. We all have our moments of absolutely no control! I would not recommend not eating for the rest of the day, it kinda has a crash and burn effect on your body.
Good luck and keep on fighting!!0
