MFP is AWESOME!

I just recently started MFP and am so impressed already. It has been an eye opener. Here I thought I was eating well but couldn't figure out why I was not losing any more weight. Even fruit and veggies have calories!
Didn't feel like walking after work last night and almost didn't b/c of the rain. But I felt guilty b/c I already logged it so I felt obligated. So glad I did b/c I slept like a hibernating bear and felt much better. That's why I like to pre-enter my meals and excercise b/c it makes me feel like I have to eat what is on there and take my walks! I have to say that when the heart failure physician suggested MFP, I was hesitant. I tried the food diaries and didn't like writing everything down. MFP is awesome b/c you can just look it up and hit enter. Love that! MFP is awesome for people like me that have an attention span of a two year old!

I feel the same way with MFP. Have you used their phone app yet? Its AWESOME!!! I love tracking my meals for the day each morning then work through the calories on my food tracker and make adjustments if needed so I won't go over my calories for the day. I also like how it keeps track of your daily log in streak too. It really is motivating to see the number increase over time .

YES IT IS!! I've lost 40+ pounds in 85 days... Its sooooo freaking easy! It's super nice to have on your phone especially when you are eating out or traveling and still want to log your foods. I LOVE the barcode scanner on my phone too. That's the coolest thing in the world in my opinion... Except maybe for the recipe feature where you can enter your favorite recipes and see what the nutritional value is. I found out that some of my favorite foods were AWFUL for me, but with a little adjusting they fit right in my dietary goals with no problem and still taste great.

If you have a smart phone and don't already have the app, GET IT. Well worth it!!

All I can say is, yes, I agree! My spouse is generally a consious eater and, as a SAHM, makes our meals. I thought for sure I was eating well and could not understand why, with little effort aside from eating at home, I couldn't lose weight.

Enter MFP. It forced me to look at every little bite I took and helped me realize my additional side snacking was really keeping on the weight, and even a few of the dishes I thought were "light" weren't.

Here's a +1 to MFP and your post.
