My favorite time of year here! Just wish they would last longer &" wild" their way into my yard :flowerforyou: Everytime I have planted them and they get growing they "wild" their way out of my yard!
My drive is on for this week end!

I crack up every time I see a whole line of cars pulled over on the side of the road with a bunch of babies scattered around, parents snapping away with their smartphones. As they say in Aggieland, from the inside, you can't explain it. From the outside, you can't understand it.

But I will say, it REALLY grinds my gears to see people picking bluebonnets. I know it is not technically illegal, but damnit, it should be.

Took a drive down 45 yesterday with lots of blooms to see. There were however, no incidents of pooping on bluebonnets to see.

It's not? I thought it was. It pisses me off too.

I was one of those pulling over on toll road 130 the other day, sticking my baby in the bluebonnets to snap a quick picture. She didn't like it very much, hehe.

Love bluebonnet time. And yeah, it's ridiculous to see all the parents taking pics of their kids in the bluebonnets....yet, I will be doing the same thing.
  • A pretty good year for bluebonnets and paintbrush around Bastrop!

I was in Austin this past weekend. I have to say Texas 'weeds' are far prettier than Louisiana 'weeds'. The blue and orange with occasional yellow or white patches along the highway were beautiful. Sure beats the dandelions and thistle around here.
