Carb overload...bad?

So when I look at my pie graph at the end of each day I can't help but notice my carbs are always highter than protein and fat. To a point where some days its over 53%. I'm confused on if I should try and change that or not. Because the only carbs I eat are Veggies, Oatmeal ( twice a week), fruits, Quinoa (twice a week), and quest bars. But the fact that I consume so much carbs worries me even though they are good carbs. Any thoughts?

My pie chart goals were predetermined by MFP at 50% Carb, 30% Fat and 20% Protein. It is a difficult and rare occurrence to hit the numbers exactly. I am normally within 3% one way or the other. My goal is to loose weight and I've managed to stay at or below my allotted calories. The result has been an average loss of four pounds a week.
So my question for you is what is your goal? If it is weight loss, I believe your primary focus should be to stay at or below your allotted calories. If your not loosing weight, I would lower your calorie intake. After you get that figured out, then you you can tweak your carb, fat and protein ratio to improve the benefit of your effort.
I can hear the dietitians screaming now but honestly your diet could contain 70% carbohydrates and you are going to loose weight if you have established the correct caloric intake.0 -
This. I eat about 70-85% carbohydrates.I can hear the dietitians screaming now but honestly your diet could contain 70% carbohydrates and you are going to lose weight if you have established the correct caloric intake.0 -
"going to lose weight if you have established the correct caloric intake."
Yup........your macros could be anything.0 -
If you are losing weight then there is no need to change it.0

It's not a huge deal, but you probably want to make sure to have close to 30% of protein to minimize muscle loss.0
