Not Losing Weight and Few Inches But Jean Sizes?

First off, I am not complaining about this, I am just confused and wanted to see maybe if any of you had any answers.
I started out at 330 and I am now down to 284 in about 5 months, but the last 3 months I have been bouncing between 284 and 290. I am still eating within my calorie range (between 1850 and 1650 a day) and working out regularly. I have been taking measurements, but I have only lost a few inches in certain places like my arms but my hips, stomach, and thighs haven't lost any inches within the last 3 months.
Anyway, to cut to the chase, I have gone down 2 jean sizes the last 3 months. How is this possible without losing weight or inches in the areas I would need to lose inches to wear a smaller size? Has anyone had this happen before? I am in a size now that I was when I was 40 pounds lighter years ago!

I haven't had that happen, so take my words with a grain of salt. But maybe your body is changing shape, if not overall size? Like the circumference of your hips might be the same, but more of it's in your butt and less in your hips, so the jeans fit better. Or something like that. I've sometimes had to go up a size because the cut of something didn't conform well to my body, so it could probably happen the other way too.
In any case, you're clearly making progress somehow0
