Over fiber limit

Hey everyone !

I've been wondering, seeing as I go over my Fiber limit everyday (set to 23g and am usually up to 35g or so), if it's bad to be constantly over. A lot of my fiber comes from bread and whole grain pasta, and some from fruit and veg. Should I cut down on a certain type of fiber ?

Thanks

I usually go over my fiber goal as well, but have always had a very fibrous diet with no issues! As long as you are consuming adequate fluids and are passing good, formed stools then you should be fine. If you have any digestive disorders or a history of bowel obstruction, or are still concerned, see your GP. :)

The fiber should be a minimum rather than a limit, so it's no problem :)

In my country, the food recommendation is actually 35g of fiber

Are you having any pooping issues - if the answer is no - then don't worry.

If the answer is yes and you are eating too much insoluble (non fermentable) fibre then cut back a bit.
