What inspired you?

So I am really curious to the reason of you guys joining MyFItnessPal and what your goals are in terms of living a healthy lifestyle and what you want to improve on etc.

The sole reason I joined it because I was having difficulty keeping up with how many calories I was taking in at a day and this app really helps out now :) My main goal is to maintain my weight, which is floating between 44kg and 46kg, (my preferred being 45 kg).

Feel free to add me if you like! I love all the positive vibes on this site, you're all such great people!

I was doing ok before I started MFP, I didn't really have a method other than eat lightly and often. I preferred to get some numbers of some sort so I know where I stand and could have more flexibility without worrying. So with the beauty of technology now, I can add things up before I eat them, I can have more treats than I was actually allowing myself before I used MFP.

I don't have much of an inspiration to be losing weight, I really was quite settled in being big. I don't have health issues right now but as I've been a heavy weight for 15 years I thought I should probrably make an effort before I start getting problems at some point in the future. I know I sound full of apathy but I really am quite determined about doing this. I've been dieting and moving about more for nearly 5 weeks now, no sense in stopping now, eh?

I joined because physically tracking my calorie intake (which I started about a month ago) was becoming a pain lol...I stayed, however, for the support and because I could see my progress day by day and track other things aside from calorie intake.

I've struggled with weight issues and self esteem for many years and I need this more than ever. For me. For my well-being.

I was getting very unhappy with my ever shrinking pants lol, was really affecting my confidence, I honestly never noticed my weight go up till i started doing to pants dance every day getting dressed, I blamed it on my current partner (as you do) we had just got together so was alot of going out drinking and going for meals, takeaway pizzas and staying in bed all day i was 10st 4lb (144lb) when i met him in may 2012 and by sept 2013 i was 12st 4lb (172lb) that when i knew i needed to do some serious work and could not carry on that way, i have now got back down to the weight i was i call it my pre dan weight, and am determined to keep going, my partner has been very supportive of me all the way through and i love him for it, even tho he never put on any weight and was eating same rubbish i was (unfair much lol)

This picture from August of 2011. This was when I decided to start trying to lose weight. Obviously, I've fallen off the wagon a few times and have only lost 33lbs since I started. I'm getting motivated again and I'm counting calories and becoming more active again.
