I always hear use free weights instead of gym machines. But is the only reason because of proper form?
Can't you still get benefits from gym machines?

You can use gym machines. Free weights work more of your stabilizer muscles and core. You can challenge yourself by using machines with one arm or leg example if you do leg exentions or shoulder press you can do it with one arm because sometimes when people do it with both sides you have a dominant side.0

you can get benefits..but in my opinion your training is going to be way more beneficial if you train with free weights and lift heavy …I use some machines - lat pull down, iso lateral row, low row, but that is about it..the rest of my training is a dumbbell or barbell…0
