Hello,
For the last couple of days I have been eating healthy meals but I find I am still starving and I have no idea why. Tonight for dinner I had corn, grilled chicken ceasar lean cuisine, water and a piece of pepper jack string cheese. I would really like to know whats going on here. Any Suggestions?

Lean Cuisine.
I'm serious, those things do not fill me up. And, not to rag on them (but yeah, I guess I am), if you look at the nutrition info, they're not even healthy. Too much sodium, too little protein, and not satisfying either by making you feel sated or making you feel you ate something tasty.
That said, I sometimes have one for lunch because I get 1/2 hour for lunch and I'm too lazy and disorganized to prepare healthy lunches ahead of time. For dinner? No . . . I'd have to be desperately lazy that night and no cereal and milk in the house. :-/
You can get a much more filling and satisfying meal, even if you don't like cooking. If you DO like cooking (but you don't want to because you're dieting), check out skinnytaste.com. She has lots of good, healthy recipes that aren't hard to fix and almost everything I've tried from her site was delicious!
If you don't like cooking, you can still have a small piece of meat or fish, a big bowl of salad (with low-cal dressing) or vegetables and a small serving of starch for the same calories as a Lean Cuisine, and you'll feel much fuller.0 -
I second the cooking more filling meals. Also in looking at your diary you still have 400 calories left, so if you are hungry eat more. The calorie goal has a deficit built into it so don't be afraid of getting close to it. My go to snack lately has either been cottage cheese and some berries, hummas and bell peppers, or if i am craving sweet some organic peanutbutter cups. They all are really good at makeing me feel fuller without being super high calorie.0

I agree, lean cuisine always leaves me feeling starving.0

Getting more wholesome food instead of pre packaged foods will help from feeling so hungry all the time. I would have to eat nearly double the amount of pre packaged foods to feel full compared to something similar i prepared myself. I understand that they can be more convenient.
Getting in a good amount of veggies and fiberous greens will help. Ample amount of protein per meal will also help keep you satiated.0 -
what's your calorie goal? If it's too low then you'll feel hungry regardless of the kind of food you eat. Food with lower calorie density will help but if you're not getting enough food to fuel your body and activity levels then your body will crank up the hunger signals to try to make you eat more. even if you were fine on the amount of food you're eating in the past, if (for example) you've increased your activity levels then you need more food than before.0

Before I started chaning my diet I was on a super high carb thing... when I started adding protein I noticed my body kept telling me I was still hungry (I assume bc the lack of carbs it was used to) ... I off sat this bu eating a piece of bread with 1 tablespoon of peanutbutter and drinking 4 oz of milk. It'll def add the calories BUT It did help ME. Just an idea, might work for you, might not.0
