Not Sure What Is Up

Options
Hello all,

When I started my journey I weighed 325. I started eating 1200 cal/day and got down to 185-190. After having lost of people tell me that was too few calories, especially since I work out 5-6 times a week I went to a nutritionist. She recommended I move up to 1600 cal/day. I have done that and since Sept I am up about 15 pounds. I think some is muscle, as I can do more chin ups now, I lift more weight, etc. I have also cut down on my cardio as trainers were saying I was doing too much. Any thoughts on what is happening?

You need to open your diary for us to have a look.

Also, as a man, 1200 is way too little, even 1600 isn't good as I can't imagine that is even your BMR and with the amount you are working out you need to eat.

Have you taken any meausrements? Do clothes fit a bit better?

The number on the scale is much less important than the way you feel and look. You might be changing your body composition by gaining muscle and losing fat. Have you looked at how much MFP recommends that you eat?
