For me, I exercise a ton. Therefore I'm not as worried about calories. I end up with plenty net cals left after my workouts. But yes, they are high in calories. But some, like peanuts are a good source of protein, which I need after a big workout. So when I make my protein shake every day, I add a couple tablespoons of peanut butter. Gotta rebuild those muscles.

If I wasn't an active person, I'd probably cut back our cut out nuts though.

They're full of nutritious calories, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. Eat up! (Within your calories, of course...)

And cucumbers, squash, peas and beans aren't vegetables.

Well, that's what I get for learning to read in public school. (Or perhaps children distracting me every three seconds because they just got sent to bed plays a role here.) Hahaha, you're soooo punny!

Low calorie doesn't automatically = "good". Many many high calorie fats provide essential nutrients. Many many low calorie foods are nutritionally void.

    Nuts are good.

They are good, but in small amounts. They are heavily laden with fat. Though the oil and fats in nuts are the good kind, too much is always bad.

    Disregard.

    Cashews are better.
