Healthy food

A lot of people say to burn fat you must eat healthy, veggies fruit fish chicken etc..
But some others say you can eat what you want and burn fat as long as you have a calories deficit, so who is correct?

Weight loss is very simple: If Calories Out > Calories In, then you will lose weight. It doesn't matter where those calories come from. This doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want and be healthy. You still need to hit macronutrient and micronutrient goals to be healthy. Now weight loss is different from fat loss. If you would like to maximize fat loss and minimize muscle loss you have to lift heavy, eat plenty of protein, and have a moderate calorie deficit that's not too aggressive.

    The latter.

In order to lose weight, you just need to be in a calorie deficit.
However, it is your macronutrient breakdown that will effect your body composition.

Of couse, everyone should have a balanced diet (i.e. everything in moderation), as 'healthy' foods are important to reach nutrient requirements (e.g. fibre).

And this is re. losing weight, not necessary 'burning fat'.
