Hey guys! i just have a question. i'm 5,3 192 and 23 years old. and i made my calorie intake 1300. I workout 6 time a week. if i eat those calories and eat the calories i burned off at the gym and stick strictly to a 1300 calorie diet. Will i lose weight? how much in a week do you think? 2 pounds maybe? more? Thank you!

It's hard to calculate how much you could lose. I'm not an expert or a dietitian, but if you keep up an exercise regimen and honestly log your calories it sounds like you will lose weight doing as you described.
That's really all I can speculate. Is there a reason you need to know a timeline?0 -
Not really. i'm just curious. i mean id like to lose as much pounds fast as possible but in a healthy way. Thank you for helping me out0

No problem! You might try finding people with similar stats who have been using MFP for longer to see if you can estimate by them, but weight loss is tricky and there are some many factors.
As long as you feel like you're moving in a positive direction just stick with it! You can readjust in a few weeks if it doesn't feel right.0 -
hmmm, you can but at 1300 thats just your BMR. theres nothing wrong eating like that but it may back fire in the long run
since you workout 6x/week, you need to eat a bit more. im guessing a goal weight of 140ish?
IMO...you should eat at least 1600 to 1700/day. that should put you between .5 and 1lb /week
eat mostly whole foods of course and stay away from processed.
try to hit your macros too
Carbs - 150 to 190 = try not to go over and try no to go to low either
Protein - 112 = try to get as much as you can for muscle repair since you workout 6x/week
Fats - 56 = aim for healthy fats not processed0 -
If you read up on losing weight based on your TDEE, total daily energy expenditure, you will be able to eat more, based on the stats you gave, and still lose weight. If you deduct 10-20% from your TDEE, use that figure and you will see consistent weight loss.

I agree with everyone else. You aren't doing your long term weight loss success any favors by eating so few calories (Trust me---I totally get how counterintuitive that sounds). You do need to be consuming at least 300-400 more calories per day. Don't let your net calories fall below 1200. At this point, you aren't giving your body enough fuel to work to lose weight. Do a little bit of research on "net calories" in the community section. You should find great info.0
