I haven't told anyone I use MFP besides my doctor. I purposefully don't talk about counting calories in front of anyone and if I turn down an offer of food or take a smaller portion I don't say it's because I'm counting calories or on a 'diet'. Maybe once I've lost enough weight for it to be noticeable someone could ask, then I'll tell them that it's a nice supportive community where most people are truly dedicated to health, and not hung up on every single calorie. I resisted counting calories for the last couple of years because I was worried I would get too addicted/obsessed in an unhealthy way, but so far getting active on MFP has not had that effect because the people I've friended are realistic about going over their daily goals once in a while and focusing on long term changes, not guilting over one day. Huge relief!!

Well, I'm a former fatty, so I kinda feel like that makes it ok...

I say nothing, deny all knowledge of MFP. If anyone asks me how I lost the weight, I just say I am eating less and I am working out more. Which is the truth.
