Words of wisdom from my SO

So the other day I was feeling really frustrated. I hadn't been eating well and I wasn't feeling awesome because of it. There had been a lot of birthday parties and baby showers and other family occasions lately, all of which centered around food... mainly not so good food (nutrition-wise... it tastes wonderful!) One night I was complaining to my fiance about it and how I've been working so hard in the gym and couldn't seem to get my eating under control etc. etc.

Do you know what his response was when I said that I really needed to get my eating back on track again? He said: then eat healthier. That simple. And you know what? He was right!

Instead of doing what I normally would do and just making good choices I was allowing other people and events to dictate what I put into my body. For some reason, this time I actually had no argument with him. (usually his simple solutions make me more riled up as I don't feel like he's comiserating with me...)

He obviously doesn't respect you and your rights as a woman to eat whatever you want. Who cares what he thinks?! You've worked so hard to be able to eat whatever you want. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Wait, where am I??? Oh, this isn't the "flaunt" thread?

Maybe he was also trying to say that sometimes we can make things harder than they actually are and the best way to do it is just to DO IT.

Came across this quote today: “When you keep finding yourself in the same situation, the common denominator is you. Changing of thinking creates change of action. Do different to get different.” (Chaplain Thelma Osei)
