10 pounds in 2 weeks?

Okay.. so 2 weeks ago I weighed myself and was 100 pounds. The next day I was super bloated and weighed 105 pounds. I weighed myself throughout that week and remained between 105-107, It's now been 2 weeks and I weigh 110 and I'm STILL bloated in the stomach area and it's frustrating because I have a flat stomach.. it's just bloated. I began weight training a month ago and also increased my cals by 500 to put on lean mass. BUT even with this 10 pound gain.. I look the exact same as I did 2 weeks ago at 100 pounds... is this 10 pounds just my body adjusting to the new weight lifting and eating more? How long before it goes away.. it's really hard to stay motivated with bloat covering the progress. Also.. is it normal for my body to do this a month into it? SHouldn't it have reacted like this in the beginning?

When you weight train especially in the beginning your muscles take in more water during recovery. Your body can hold a lot of water. I've lost 6 lbs of water in a 10 hour period. Sodium and carb levels might be another reason you are bloating. You might have upped the calories too high too or too rapidly. A gradual approach is best. I used to go by these body building calculators and they were actually making me fat. I do good with 1800 calories a day with eating the exercise back. I chose 1800 because it leaves me room in case my entries are not accurate. Focus on your protein, fat, and carbs those are most important. Even if you are off by a couple hundred in the calories if you hit your macros you will still put on muscle.0

Same thing has been happening to me....I've been strength training for a little over a month. I'll lose some and then appear to gain it back then I'll be back down again. It's very frustrating but I'd just chalk it up to water retention.0

WIll it always be an up and down with water retention and bloating while training or will my body eventually get used to it?0
