Hey guys, I appreciate any advice you could give me. I am a female, 26, 5ft 3 and i generally eat about 1400-1600 calories a day with one 2000 cal day a week. Ive been doing this for about 6 months and have SLOWLY got about 5 pounds from my goal weight. I currently weigh 120. I understand getting to 115 pounds will be much slower but i havent lost any weight or inches in a few months!
I am a waitress, i rock climb indoors 2 times a week for 2 hours. I lift weights 2x a week and run or swim for 30 mins 2x a week. So i'm decently active but besides running and some days at work those are pretty low intensity. I try to eat my calories back. I eat a generally healthy balanced vegetarian diet that's pretty boring and routine. I do have a few drinks a week.
Do you think i am eating too little or to much to lose these last pounds? Could my body be used to this amout of calories now since ive been eating like this before? All the calorie calculators i use give me different info.
Thank you!

Hi! I'm no expert- as I just re-started on mfp, but this reminded me of a blog I read yesterday- check it out because it sounds like this (reverse dieting) might be worth a shot since you're stuck in a rut!

Can I ask why you want to be 115 pounds? It seems to me that at your height and weight you're healthy and probably rather thin. If you were to increase your calories a little bit to support your exercise and go into maintenance, you can continue to improve your level of fitness, maybe put on a little muscle, burn a little fat, without the hassle of trying to lose additional weight. Just a thought, maybe it's time to re-evaluate your goals since you are so close to them.
Sidenote: As a vegetarian who is very active, make sure you're hitting your protein targets!0 -
This is the best calculator I know --
http://www.niddk.nih.gov/research-funding/at-niddk/labs-branches/LBM/integrative-physiology-section/body-weight-simulator/Pages/body-weight-simulator.aspx
You have to install java and stuff, and it's SUPER complex. But if you get all the info in there right, this simulator will show you how fast you will lose/gain weight if you eat at different calorie levels.
That being said, I think you should eat at maintenance for a while. Like 2 weeks. And give your body a rest from "dieting."0 -
Thank you guys for the suggestions! I think i will take a few weeks at maintenance and do some lifting. Perhaps i'll re think the weight goal. And thanks acgansen for the link! Interesting thoughts there.0
