Exercising makes me nauseous

I go to the gym 3 sometimes 4 times a week in the mornings, I always eat a banana and drink water before workouts. I've been doing this for years with no problems. But lately these past few weeks after 30 minutes of doing cardio, I will start to feel nausea like I'm about to throw up and I cant continue my 60 min workout like I used to. And I can't do my high intensity workouts no more I'll start to feel sick. Could it be any vitamin deficiency? what do you think it could be?

How long before your workouts do you eat? Could you be going into your workouts too soon? I can't eat anything substantial within an hour of my HIIT workouts for the same reason.

I usually have a small banana an hour before I go to gym. If i wait too long my stomach will start to growl and I will feel hungry again and low energy.

My husband and I have that problem with bananas. They tend to "repeat" on us and make us want to urp. Before we work out, we usually have a whole wheat English muffin and a poached egg and then eat again afterwards. If your stomach is unsettled, a piece of toast and an apple might be all you need.

Acid Reflux gives you the exact same symptoms, I would look into that if you haven't already. I have it and if I workout too hard or too long I feel the same way.

Edit I just looked it up again and it's referred to as "exercise heartburn" and can make you nauseated.

Adrenal fatigue can also do that to you.

I know some people don't believe in adrenal fatigue but you might want to read up on it.

I have the same problems with bananas, specially in the morning. Probably because I don't have much food in my stomach yet. I am eating my banana (I only tolerate 1/4 of the fruit), with a tbs of peanut butter in the afternoon and I seem to tolerate it better.

OP, try some more protein before your workout, and see if that helps.

I was reading on that, and I think I have exercise heartburn. I'll try their suggestions on the webmd and see how it goes, thanks.

I will also try to experiment with different pre-workout snacks as other suggested, thanks for the replies.

I have acid issues and tummy problems. Even though I have a healthy diet, acid reflux just runs in the family. Sometimes during workouts I do throw up, I'll get nauseated randomly and just barf and then be fine. I stopped eating an hour beforehand and I don't take my vitamins an hour before, too, and it seems to be helping.
