Help! How do i stop craving?

I get really bad cravings. Especially for chocolate bourbon biscuits. If I know they're there, I have to eat them! and once I've eaten one I can't stop! How can I help this craving? I'm not a fan of any other biscuits and because I live at home with 3 other people, one being my 10 year old brother, the biscuits are rarely not in the house. Also because of everyone else they are almost always eating chocolate or biscuits as an after dinner thing (I don't live in a very healthy house!) And as soon as I see someone else eating it and I'm offered or given it, I just want to eat it! Its not every day of course, but more often than I want.

Does anyone know something else I can eat as a snack which is much more healthy and will help with cravings?

what is wrong with having chocolate after dinner??? I do it every night.

Saying no after a reasonable portion is on you....just say no.

If it fits in your calorie allotment, have it. Or have a small piece to satisfy the craving.

to stop the craving you eat the food. Easy.
  • If you are craving the biscuits, what about getting yourself a really high quality dark chocolate. Break off a piece of that and instead of eating, treat it like it was a hard candy and let it slowly melt on your tongue.

I indulge in whatever I want... if it fits in my macros. If it doesn't, then, too bad. You have to learn to deal with it.

I guess what you could do if you're afraid of over-doing it is set aside some of your calories each day for a couple of chocolate bourbon biscuits. That way you satisfy your craving for them and still meet your calorie goals.

I usually drink a lot of water when I simply cant fit any more snacking in. sometimes that helps.

This, work it into your calories, and enjoy.

Portion control is the answer. Have one or a half of one and enjoy it. Plan for it by prelogging it at the beginning of the day and look forward to it after dinner. Dark chocolate is good for you so again plan for it and enjoy it. One dark 60% chocolate square is only 60 calories. What's not to enjoy?

Changing your mindset to a lifestyle vs a diet will help. Nothing should be off limit as long as it fits into your calorie budget for the day. You see that is why we've lost and gained; lost and gained again and again. Because we eliminated foods from our diet for a period of time instead of learning to eat them using portion control.
