Week 2 of insanity...need some help with diet please

Hi. Tia for all the help. U guys rock! Ok so I started insanity last Monday and I've been eating anywhere from 1300-1500 calories. I assume my insanity workout which is about 40 minutes burns 350 cals. My heart rate stays at about 200 the whole time. I'm 5'5" 24yo and weight fluctuates from 141-143. I haven't lost any pounds or any inches this week. I'm not looking to lose an inch a week or anything but even a quarter inch in the right direction would be great. My waist is 29 and thighs are about 23.5 and 24. I believe I might be eating too much because I went to get that oxygen test to find out rmr and my results was 1250 calories. My nutritionist said not to eat back my exercise calories and to stick with 1250. Does that sound right? Is that possibly why I haven't lost anything this week despite the super intense workout and completely clean eating?

Most people don't see results doing Insanity until the second month... you are not eating too much... fire your nutritionist if they tell you to eat 1250 calories doing Insanity and being 5'5.

I agree you have to eat more while doing insanity. Also, I burned more that 350- mine was around 600-700 per workout. I"m 175 cm and 73 kg.

Insanity workout is intense, your body most likely will retain water, that is one reason why you don't see results immediately. Drink at least 8 to 10 glass of water and that should help.

i gained over the 60 days of insanity, but i lost bodyfat.. take measurements after month one and at the end.

i also agree that you should NOT be eating so little doing insanity. I am 5ft 5 and 136lbs and i was eating NET 1800 cals during insanity and was still always hungry!

Did you calculate your calories using the nutrition manual with Insanity or just using MFP? If MFP what setting did you use? The thing I learned while doing Insanity is to don't be scared to eat. Your body needs fuel to get through these hard workouts. Are you able to get through a workout? If you are feeling burned out throughout the day you should increase your intake.

No I had that test done where you sit with the oxygen mask on for 10 min and that gave me an rmr of 1250

If it were up to me, I would buy a really good heart rate monitor, find out how many calories you're REALLY burning doing insanity (and pausing the HRM while there are stretching breaks in the video), and eat back those calories. Try to keep your water intake at a sufficient level too.
