Does anyone else have headache problems?

I wake up with a headache every single day. Sometimes it goes away completely, other times it stays all day and when the ACHE goes away my head is still "fuzzy" feeling. It's horrible. Then once it gets late like 8pm it goes away completely. This will happen for a few weeks then it will switch to i wake up fine and develop a horrible horrible headache later on in the day. I have to lie down sometime it hurts so bad i feel like i cant see. (migraine)

There was a point when i wake up it hurt really bad my left eye would be jumpy (like a nerve jumping). I went to the ER for a cat scan they said it was normal.

Now i do take Diphenhydramine to go to sleep and my mom says thats the problem and she swears on it. I have been taking it for about 10 years. I havent taken it in 2 days .. today my head hurt when i got up but went away with medicine. Yesterday it hurt but not as bad i just felt like i didnt get enough sleep.

I have an appoinment at walmart vision center mionday with the doctor to see if i need glasses but i dont thin thats the cause.

just wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

Have you given up coffee or sugar lately? If so that can leave you with headaches which can last for quite a while as your body goes through withdrawal symptoms.
Or are you on birth control? Some types of pills can give you migrane, I got terible headaches while on microgynon
  • I'm not a doctor but I use to get headaches lots to the poing of getting sick. They say that stress plays a great part in this and sometimes the kind of foods you eat. Today I have headaches about 1 or 2 times a month I found that excerising helps. (I go to the gym 5 days a week for classes that I take) I found that is helps me. I'm not one to take medicine so I try to find other ways to help the problem. (but I do take if needed)
Hope all is well with you and I hope you feel better.

  • going cold turkey on coffee, pop, sugar, and low salt intake, can all cause headaches, migranes, muscle twitches, and a fuzzy headed feeling. check with the eye doctor for yoru vision, but I'd also suggest trying one of those if you've given them up recently.

Have you had issues with high blood pressure? My husband has horrible headaches when he isn't regular with his meds. And dizzy spells too.

I have hypothyroidism and will experience headaches if I am needing an adjustment on my medicine.

Hope you find the cause! Headaches stink...

It sounds like it could be tension type headaches. If you wake with them it may be related to your pillow height. Try to have a fairly straight line between your neck and back when you sleep and this puts less tension on your neck muscles.

I used to get migraines ALOT!! I found that they were caused by allergies. So I watch the trigger points and try not to get colds. I am now dealing with them again because I have a sinus infection. I have found caffeine helps relieve them.

  • Could you be dehydrated? Happened to me from all the crapola food I ate over the Christmas break.

I had terrible migraines in high school. My doctor ran all sorts of tests (MRIs/Cat scans/etc) but everything came back normal. My eyes would twitch and I would get weird squiggly things in my vision that looked like lightning bolts. I would also get tunnel vision. I had my eyes checked and they came back normal so the eye doctor dilated my eyes and found I was slightly far sighted. Got contacts and never had a migraine again. My doctor also told me to lay off the amount of cheese I was eating, as many cheeses can stimulate a migraine. I read up on this and it is so true. Do you eat a lot of cheese?
  • I have had this problem too. It turned out that I was stressed and grinding my teeth in my sleep. This could be your problem as well. My dentist said to just get a guard at Walmart and use it at night. It works and I no longer have the headaches.
