Frivolous vent

I am so tired of seeing all the modified coffee drinks from Starbucks. I just want to log a regular drink - regular chai. Regular mocha. Not a grande non-fat/no-whip/hint of sugar-free syrup with a splenda. I bet the baristas hate these special drink orderers as much as I do right now. It should not be so difficult to find an accurate venti mocha entry.

(yes, yes, save calories where you can. order whatever you want. enter it myself for accuracy. etc.)

  • Well, I think your first problem is that you went to Starbucks and not Dunkin Donuts

Starbucks is available at work, Dunkin Donuts is not. But I'm not even sure there is a Dunkin Donuts in my area (blasphemy!). I'm a Shipley's Donuts girl, myself. Mmmmmmm.

Make an entry for yourself but don't make it available for the database. That's what I do for custom made orders from places such as chipotle, tijuana flats, etc.

I do have that for a few things. But my point is that it ISN'T custom made! It's the regular version! I usually get a tall instead of a venti (or whatever - today was a venti), but there are so many special custom orders it takes forever to find the regular version, lol.

I'm lazy! Do the work for me, MFP!

First thing, do not trust any Starbucks entries! I've seen the craziest numbers out of those. Create your own personal item in MFP using the Starbucks website.

Personally I have to get a specific drink because whole milk makes me ill. So I'm a skinny grande mocha girl and I dabble in venti green tea with half sweetener because the amount of sweetener that Starbucks puts in their tea chokes me. To each their own.

I don't really trust much of any of the numbers on the site. Always, always double check for accuracy. It's time consuming, but it's important to me to have an accurate count.

    Best of luck!

I always double check, no worries. I too have seen a fair amount of wishful thinking (chocolate chai and regular chai are not the same calories, no matter how much nicer chocolate chai looks).
