Painful lesson learned

Many years ago my recovery from leg day was usually pretty painful.
I discovered how to fix my problem was doing some cardio after. Spending only 10 minutes on the stair climber was enough to burn off all the lactic acid from my Quads and Hamstrings (my two biggest muscles groups). I wasn't really interested in treadmills or elipticals. I would rather just run.
Last week after I finished leg day the two stair climbers (the two least used cardio machines in the college gym) were both occupied. So I just went home. I had issues standing up, walking, climbing stairs for two days.
This week, hit the stair climber like usual. No problems. Lesson learned, not to be repeated.

Would that help with the fluid retention too.

Isn't that the whole point of a "cooldown" after each workout?

Yep. Or as some like to call it: a warm down.

I'm fine after chest/back day or Bi-cep/Tri-cep/shoulders day.
I only need to "cool down" after leg day.
