I have been using MFP since early January and I can't seem to lose any weight. I lost about 6 pounds in the beginning but now I'm back to pretty much what I started at.... I eat a breakfast sandwich in the morning, a sandwich and fruit for lunch and chicken and broccoli most nights for dinner. I have my goal set at 1,200 calories a day but tend to go over with snacks so I figured that helps with such a low calorie intake. I bought a food scale and always weigh my meat and other foods. I also run three miles a day six days a week at about 9:30 minute miles. Any suggestions??

measure your body fat?
I flipped through your diary, it seems like you are consuming too much carbs and sugar. Even though the calories are under.
Carbs and sugar might be the reason too.
Bagel isn't a good choice, especially when you have it everyday.
I know that it tastes really good but try to eat other complex carbs for breakfast, such as 1 slice of whole wheat/gluten free bread or oatmeal or vegetables.
Also don't eat too much bread, bagel, spaghetti on one day, especially those days you are not doing intensive workouts.0 -
Eat more, your body is starving.
I see you're a 19 year old woman, what is your height/weight? I can help you calculate your BMR and calorie expendature0 -
Yes like said above. MyFitnessPal advises against consuming less than 1200 calories a day because it can push your body into starvation mode and slow weight loss.0

My opinion - you need to eat more! You're exercising a lot and not eating enough. I use this to calculate my calorie intake - http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/. Just because you should eat more doesn't mean it needs to be junk! Don't be afraid of food or calories. They are both a necessary part of life!0

I disagree. I don't think you are eating too little. The first thing I would check is whether your body measurements are changing, you may be losing fat but not weight. Next, I'd be double dang sure I was logging accurately, your log looks pretty good but only you know for sure. I'd be patient, you are young and not in need of a huge loss, it will take some time to lose. Add weight training if you haven't, it will only help to shock your system and build your metabolism.0
