Walden Farms Products

Hello all, I just wanted to reach out and see who has tried the Walden Farms products and see what everyone thought of them. I have only tried the marshmallow dip and thought it was disgusting. I think it was mostly a texture issue but it was horrible.
I want to try the new dressings & syrups but I dont want to waste my money buying something I cant tolerate. Do any of these products actually taste good?

Bump, 'cause I have the same question.0
-
I haven't tried all of them, but that marshmallow dip I ended up throwing out because even peanut butter couldn't save it. I thought the barbecue sauce wasn't bad, and the dressings I did try weren't bad, either, but I can't even remember which ones they were.0

I've bought both the ranch & blue cheese dressings...blech!
I ended up throwing them out.0 -
The thousand Island and BBQ sauces were good. I haven't tried anything else...
I've heard that the syrup is pretty good.0 -
I like the pancake syrup and use it regularly. I use the caramel sauce in recipes that call for brown sugar. I have added the chocolate and strawberry syrups in my protein shakes. I like the hot/spicy BBQ and have added marshmallow dip in my homemade protein bars.
Other than that....every dressing I have tried...I have hated. (ranch and both vinaigrettes)0 -
The caramel/chocolate syrup and thick & spicy BBQ sauce are good. I use them regularly.0

I tried the "peanut spread" and it was way too sweet and had a texture like cold cream for the face. I do love my 100% peanut pb though so I wasn't surprised when it didn't make the grade. What DOES work very well is to mix it 1/2 n 1/2 with 100% peanut butter and get only half the fat & calories & carbs, etc. It hides the texture and tastes very close to good peanut butter. I didn't want to throw it out after paying that kind of money - yeah, I'm cheap.0

Hi...I do not like the marshmellow dip either; however, there are other products that are decent. The Maple Syrup is good as is blueberry; thousand island; honey mustard dessings are good; The mayo isn't great by just tasting it, but when you mix it in chicken salad or tuna and use other seasonings etc., I can't tell the difference. The Peanut butter is a good substitute for the real thing in recipes and it'l bring the fat and calorie count down in those recipes too
Hope this helps0 -
The only one I have ever tried was the "Chocolate Dip". I dipped a strawberry in it and it tasted fantastic. However, I chopped up a bunch of strawberries and put a tablespoon of the dip in, put it in the fridge for the next day and it was f***cking awful. So, if you like chocolate covered strawberries and you have time to sit down and dip and eat them all great. Otherwise eww.0

their products are all hit or miss. i've tried a lot when i was losing weight and they were alright, nothing that makes you jump and scream for joy but also not bad. would not recommend the peanut spreads at ALL. after reading reviews online ive realized that everyone has really mixed opinions, what some people hated i ended up loving and vice versa. my fave products are their bbq sauces and the pancake syrup mm.0

i kinda like the caramel syrup. the pancake syrup to me was like battery acid, i binned it
i much prefer da vinci sugar free syrups0 -
I enjoy the Chocolate and Caramel syrups. The Caramel dip is ok (chocolate not really), and the (chocolate) peanut butter spread is not good.
Did not try the dressings, mayo's and fruit spreads0 -
Only thing I have tried is the Caramel syrup. I certainly think the term "syrup" is used loosely - not a syrup like texture imo. Doesn't taste too bad tho! Pretty good but a slight artificial sweetener after taste.0

I tried the ranch dressing, and did not like it. I decided I'd rather have full fat dressing and at least enjoy my salad0

I tried about 6 products, had to order them online since I couldn't find them locally. Every single one went in the trash. Yuck!0

I have tried their 'peanut spread' blech!
I have also tried the 'marshmallow spread' again, blech!
Their italian dressing wasn't bad, some of the others I didn't like.
I DO like their cinnamon/raisin spread. You store it in the fridge so it gets cold, but it's a whipped/ fluffy type texture. I find it good on crackers or rice cakes.0 -
I tried the chocolate dip and thought it was gross. Weird texture and had an extremely strong artificial sweetener taste. Was a waste of money0

so glad I thought to search for this before buying some chocolate syrup I will go ahead and try it! I like the dressings and BBQ sauce, even if they are nearly $6 a bottle up here in alaska It's worth it for the added flavor though. I think the ranch dressing and BBQ sauces are pretty safe for most people. The ketchup is not very delicious and I didn't really like thousand island, though I don't really like regular thousand island either . . .0

Tried the peanut butter wasnt good at all even tried adding chopped nuts to it but that didnt help. I like pb2 though.0

Wish I'd seen this before I bought marshmallow dip. Wow is that bad. I won't chance it with the rest.0

the caramel sauce, pancake syrup, and apricot spread were the only three things I tried that I liked. The 1000 Island dressing was good in "big mac in a bowl" you can google that recipe, but on salad it was gross.0
-
the only tolerable things I've tried so far have been the Dijon mustard dressing, and the pancake syrup.
I have tried the marshmallow dip, the chocolate peanut spread, ranch dressing, ceasar dressing, and the chocolate syrup and personally they all almost made me sick0 -
The peanut spread is absolutely awful!! But I did try the chocolate syrup and was pleasantly surprised.0
-
I love the chocolate and pancake syrup. The strawberry syrup is pretty good. I didnt like the mocha coffee creamer. Sesame ginger dressing is meh and the balsamic is alright0
-
I am not one to be fearful of chemicals in my food - but seriously - no calories for ranch or peanutbutter? No thanks - not willing to go near that stuff.0
-
I eat the dressings regularly and really like some of them. Blue Cheese, raspberry, Honey Dijon, and French are my go-to's. I haven't tried any other of their foods.
I stick to the dressings because I understand how they get calorie free: water, vinegar, spices, and an emulsifyer.0 -
The only one I have tried is some of the maple flavored syrup on my protein pancakes, and it's actually pretty good in my opinion. It pretty much just tastes like other brands of sugar free maple syrup. I don't eat it very often at all though, because I am very wary of what it is I'm actually putting into my body0
-
Most of their stuff is a concoction of xanthan gum, pectin, and various other food thickeners/emulsifiers. Not worth the cost for imitation food. The taste or satisfaction of "cheating" isn't worth it either.
Their salad dressings being the exception though0
