After a strict diet, I binged for 5 months straight everyday and basically hit rock bottom. I found relieve when I discovered l-glutamine and it completely stopped my binges. I've been binged free for 8 days now which might not seem much but trust me its a relieve for someone like me. Anyways, I keep dreaming about binge eating every night and every time I wake up I am like omfg thank god its just a dream. However, during the dreams it seems so real to me and I feel so guilty. Has anyone had this before? I want to stop with these nightmares :/ its scaryy

    Hey mrs,

I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem but I just wanted to drop you a little line and say WELL DONE for being binge-free for over a week. I know it might not seem like a long time to some people, but to all us ex-bingers out there, it's an achievement! :) I still find myself fantasising about going to the shops and buying all my favourite binge foods - this isn't made easier by the fact that it is Easter weekend and I've been given a giant bag of marshmallows and a popping candy Easter egg! No idea what to do with them.

Hope the dreams stop soon for you - maybe as the binging recedes further into the past they will stop on their own? Maybe they are just a big deal because you are still actively trying not to binge during the day? I'm not sure - maybe someone else will have their own experience to give you advice :)

This must be common. Same fantasies about binging here. It's because you are hungry--if you try to lose weight this is desirable as it means you are in calorie deficit. Years ago when I went through USAF survival school, they starved us for several days out in the woods (lost 10 pounds in a week), we would sit around the fire and just talk about food and what we would have first when the course was over. The only advice I can offer is to find things to take your mind off it and perhaps moderate the pace of your weight loss goals. Just a thought.
