Hi, I am started the Insanity workout on Monday and was looking for anyone who would be willing to share their success with the Insanity workout, anyone that has any useful tips for me to follow while doing it, and anyone that is also looking to or is currently doing Insanity so we can cheer eachother on. Thank you! I look forward to going through this fitness journey with you all. I am looking to lose weight and tone up my stomach as well as shoulders, arms, back and thighs. I'm hoping that it's all worth it!!

Never give up and make sure to MEASURE yourself beforehand! Don't weigh yourself too often (1x a week is enough). You might not see a change on the scale and that's fine, as long as you are losing inches.
I'm on day 42 and I have lost almost 15 pounds and lots of inches! It gets tough to press play each day but just focus on how good it feels after you're done!
  • What parts of my body should I measure specifically? And should I measure 1x a week as well?
Also, did you follow the Insanity diet plan? What are you eating that is helping you lose so much weight? I've looked at different articles and many people say that it does not work very well if you do not follow the diet plan. With my lifestyle, I can not eat between breakfast and lunch so it is extremely difficult to get five meals in a day, which is what the Insanity diet plan calls for. What should I do?

I'm starting my third week and loving (hating lol) it. Use the nutrition guide to figure out your daily caloric needs and use that as your guide. Can you even fit something small in between breakfast and lunch? Like a protein bar?? It's important to keep your metabolism going and your body will definitely need the fuel! It's a really tough workout but just go at your own pace and keep, pressing play :) feel free to add me if you would like

I'm starting month two tomorrow, today is my rest day from the recovery week. I started it at 17.5 stone and am now under 14.5 in 5 weeks. You need to push the hell out of yourself and follow the diet recommendations tightly. Also make sure to have proper footwear as it'll wear down your feet if not, and a heart rate monitor is a must to monitor your calls as there is no real way to speculate what you are burning. Good luck!

I'm on day 11 (thank god for cardio recovery day) and I can't get enough of insanity. I hate myself during the workout but I always enjoy crawling into the shower after and feeling so accomplished. I know that you are suppose to weigh in and measure every two weeks but I really was curious if I was doing enough so after week one I decided to measure and weigh in. So far I've lost 6.5 inches and 5.5 lbs. I was shocked and stunned and it was a huge motivation for me to keep going. After one week I'm feeling happier, I have more energy, and I sleep better, which is another big bonus. Feel free to add me!
  • I just completed day 2 this morning! I've tried this program in the past but never finished it. I'm determined to finish it this time!

    Hi!

I'm just about to start the recovery week for Insanity and I have a few questions. I started off around 170 and I'm still at 170. I just realized that my daily intake of 1,200-1,500 isn't enough and that might be a reason I haven't lost any weight? Apparently, I'm supposed to be eating around 2,200 calories a day. I'm a little worried because I have never eaten that many calories before. I know that the Max month is going to be tough, so, I'll have to start upping my calories, but, I'd like to know if anyone, especially anyone who is past month one, can give me some support and good words on upping calories? I'm really scared that I may end up gaining weight instead of losing.

    Thanks!

Sorry for the hijack, but I actually have been thinking about buying Insanity. I feel like it would be an amazing accomplishment if I completed this program. Is it a lot of being down on the floor? Or is it a good 50/50 mix between standing and floor exercises? Also, How long are the workouts on average??
  • Starting insanity tomorrow :). I can't wait after reading posts. I have been doing Beverly Hills and have lost 20lbs since beginning of feb. I want to keep going but need exercise too to tone up. Seems like good results by what I am reading.
  • I've been doing Insanity for over a month now and I tell you; that is a BEAST of a program, ahaha! I absolutely love it; however water is pivotal during the workouts and I can't stress that enough....your body will thank you for it. Congrats on your dedication and welcome to the insane! :-)
  • whatever you do, do NOT skip any days... it is very easy to fall off track with insanity if you don't stick to the schedule.
  • Can anyone recommend some good workouts for a busy student with an evening job?!
  • Thanks for the welcome and the advice :) we shall see what today brings very excited to do
  • Note taken thank you, I will do my best. I'm pretty stubborn when my mind is made up about doing something

Stay motivated!! I hated myself on day one and thought I was such an idiot. I really did shock myself, however, with how committed I have been. I really have grown to love it. I start day 12 today and even though the fit test isn't till monday, after about a week I was really curious if it was doing anything. I had lost a little over 5 lbs and 6.5 inches! That was an instant motivator and I can't wait to see what my numbers will be after I finish. Remember that there is no shame in taking a break of if you can't finish a set. Just try to do outdo yourself every time. Good luck, add me if you want some motivation!
  • i finished day 2 yesterday too i had to stop near the end almost passed out lol

Iv completed insanity! And now moving on to p90x
But when I first did insanity I was a complete beginner and had to like modify eveything and I dident really see any results because of it, but when I started pushing my self just a little harder, I saw great results.!
I would say don't try and take the easy way out like I did at first! And do the stretches!!

    Good luck :)!!
  • I love Insanity workout, but I have to mix it up with other things like the gym or P90X as it starts hurting my joints after a bit. However, it is an awesome workout only one better I have ever found is crossfit at a quality gym with trained teachers.
  • So last night I completed day 4. Today I feel amazing. I have to admit day 1,2,3 brutal each of those days at times during the workout I had thoughts to just shut it off and who will know lol but I didn't because I would know. Day 2 I was hurting day 3 my legs were so sore but I was motivated by the day 4 the title cardio and recovery. I liked the word recovery lol. It was still a good workout but definitely more tolerable. Today I feel so good while a bit sore a good sore. It's doable it's more mentally challenging then any other workout. You really do have to dig deeper.

Just started Insanity today! I'm really looking to keep a positive attitude, focus on improving, and not comparing. I used to run daily, but fell off the wagon between school and a new relationship. I'm getting married in August and am horrified by how my body has changed so drastically. I'm really hoping this can jumpstart weight loss.

I started my insanity fitness journey about 3 weeks ago, The scale goes UP and DOWN, Im trying to remain patient. It is very hard. I did lost .5 in. off of my waist though! I ate around 1350 cal. per day but from my recent research, I discovered that I am not eating enough, Today, I boosted it up to 1650 cal. per day. I'll tune in in about two weeks to let you know if it works. Stay strong! We can DO IT!!!!!!
