I'm Loving this Site

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been through a few diets with calorie counting and they really do work. I just need to not let myself go after reaching a goal, and then give up because I let myself go a little too much. I've used myfooddiary and sparkpeople. Myfooddiary was a good site, but got a little too pricey for me month to month. Sparkpeople was good too, but made you waste a lot of time trying to reach certain points. It works because you are too busy clicking the mouse to eat anything.

I've decided to start up my diet again on New Years Day (It's not like that, well ok maybe a little but, I'll be sticking to this) and came across this site. It looks perfect. No huge ads or wasted time trying to reach certain point totals and it seems easy to get around on. I have a half marathon to run in March so I am training for that also. I'm looking for some motivation and some competition. If you are new and want someone to push you when you need a good shove, just send me a friend request and we can get this thing going. Good luck everyone.

Starting out stats: Roughly 235lbs (180 is the goal) and a 10:30 min/mil (9 is the goal)

Hello and Welcome to MFP!! I hear you about SparkPeople keeping you too busy clicking the Mouse to eat!! But I have to admit I am a SparkPoints Junkie!!
MFP is fun, too ith LOTS of good, supportive people.
:drinker: Good Luck with your Marathon. I will probably walk in the 5K in Oklahoma City in April.

I was definitely a sparkpoints junkie. Not going to have enough time for that this time around. If I am reading your little ticker right. Holy cow! Congrats on the weight loss. I will hopefully be running some race either in Tulsa or Dallas with my brother this summer. I'm letting him choose.
