Skimmed vs. Low (non) Fat Milk?

Does anyone know the difference?
I usually buy and drink skimmed milk, but I recently read that the healthiest way to go is Low Fat Milk or 1% milk.
I thought that is what skimmed means!
Enlighten me please!

As far as I know, skimmed milk is 0.1% fat, whereas low fat is usually around 1%, so between semi-skimmed (2%) and skimmed. To be honest though, there's not that much difference in my opinion between the three in low quantities. I think they have slightly different amounts of vitamins in them, though.
Skimmed - approx 35 calories per 100ml
Low fat - 42 calories
Semi - 45 calories0
