Do you see changes progressively or at once?

Every time I've tried losing weight (used to be unhealthily, now I'm doing it the right way), first of all I never lose at the rate of 1 lb/week. I always lose somewhere between 1.5-2 pounds per month. Another interesting thing that I notice is that the changes in my body happen all at once every few months. For example, I have been consistently working out for about 5 months. From January to March, no one noticed any changes in me, I looked just the same. I saw my family both months, and nothing. However, they just saw me today after 3-4 weeks without seeing each other, and they think I lost a ton of weight on this last month. I am happy about my progress :) this isn't complaining at all, I'm just wondering if someone also has this similar experience. You can work out for months, but at some point, there's like 1 or 2 nights where your body shrinks.

I see a big change at first, then it is slowly progressive.

I think its because there's little changes every day that you hardly notice until suddening you realize your clothes don't fit anymore. Then you really look and see yourself differently.

I noticed this myself, sometimes I won't lose anything for several weeks then all of a sudden I will drop about 20. My friend pointed me to this website and to me it seemed to rationally explain it, I hope the link works :P http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html
