Iv'e lost 50 pounds so far hittin the gym and eating about 2-3 times a day. I just recently went to a total nutrition shop where one of my buddies is the manager at and he gave me a meal plan.. But in this meal plan it says i have to eat 6 times a day. How am I suppose to drop weight eating 6 times a day?? Does anyone do this?

You do know that meal frequency and timing has nothing to do with weight loss..... right? RIGHT?!!! It's all about the calories you burn and intake............0

well thats what I thought, until my friend said its better to eat 6 small meals a day lol.0

Meal timing has nothing to do with weight loss. It's personal preference (and maybe gym performance... I can't get in a good workout if my tummy is empty and noisy). I have a couple friends that eat just one small snack and one big dinner. That's what works for them. I am hypoglycemic so I need to eat 6 meals a days... unless I have a really big breakfast on the weekend. Then I'm able to enjoy 3 meals.0

I see you are 20. Your body is still turning into the Young man it wants to be and will be for another year or two. You have probably helped it greatly by loosing the 50 lb you have. Make sure you are within the reference weights for your height. I do not know if you need to loose more weight but all you need to do is to treat your body well. If it performs well, feels good, on three meals you have no reason to change things.
Some people say it is good to keep from letting your blood sugars from swinging desperately. By eating 6 smaller meals the theory is it can be done more easily. As a basically healthy young person your body will not need too much help with this. If you are happy with your personal meal plan, then stick with it.0 -
Three meals, three snacks. Simple. What he is trying to get you to do is to go two or three hours between meals, which will allow you to curb your hunger and reduce cravings. Ironically, the more you eat, the more weight you can lose, as long as you're eating the right portions and the right foods.0

You've lost 50 pounds already, I don't see a need to change what you're doing but if you want, you just eat lower calorie meals. For example instead of eating three 600 calorie meals, you can eat six 300 calorie meals.
I don't do this because I get more hungry at night so I eat a larger dinner.0 -
