Hello everyone!

I started MFP about 5 weeks ago at 128 lbs (5'3") with a goal weight of 110. I know that at 128 I am already within a healthy weight range, but as an actress I need to be quite fit and trim to look my type (I also want to state that I have been at 110 before with diet and exercise, and it was a healthy 110, so I know with hard work it is possible).

For the first two weeks I lost about 3 lbs a week, and I knew that it would slow down after that initial plunge, but I haven't really lost anything since then. I've been hovering between 122.6 and 121.4 for three weeks and I'm starting to get really frustrated.

I exercise most days of the week (usually 20-30 minutes of strength training and 20-30 minutes of cardio), and I am now eating back all of my exercise points. MFP initially put me at 1200/day, but after doing some research this week into RMR and TDEE it looks like my RMR is around 1250-1260, so I increased my intake to 1250 net cals/day, and even with that I am not really losing.

I'm eating fairly healthily (although I do save some calories for treats a couple of times a week) and I'm exercising. I don't think I'm eating under what is healthy for me. I measure and weigh my food when possible, and for things that don't have nutritional value (like dressing at a restaurant) I look up what the calories are elsewhere and try to go with an average for that. What else can I do? I've now *not* lost weight for longer than I was losing.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

You lost a large amount of weight (whoosh) and now you are not losing (stall.)

There are a lot of ways that people work themselves around these things, but patience will work. It seems to me like you're doing everything right (as long as you're being totally truthful, which I assume you are) and so if you wait another few weeks you will see some weight loss. You can try eating at maintenance for a few days or changing up your exercise.

It's also important to know that menstrual cycles can really fluctuate your weight. You should try to look at your weights over the last month and compare it to the same point in your cycle this month. If you have lost weight since then, you have lost actual weight. It's frustrating but women sort of have to weigh themselves once a month to see anything remotely linear.

i lost like 70 lbs in 6 months and then i didn't lost a freaking POUND for about 5 months and it was so frustrating, but you have to just hang in there, i just broke through my plateau, i wanted to give up many times or just accept "this is where my body wants me to be, even though im still not 100% happy"

for me, with some real soul searching, i realized i had stopped being as serious, and that was a great thing, i never missed a party or a fun meal, i would have one good day one bad day one good one bad etc, and thats why i just stayed where i was...(not saying that applies to you)

once i got 100% serious, and ate 100% healthy, it only took a few days to pass the plateau

stay motivated. you can do it!!
