Advice on Protein Shake

Hi Everyone
I've been on a food/exercise regime since last November and have lost over 45 pounds since I began. However the only problem is I'm starting to find that lately I'm not losing any weight/inches and am working even harder then before.
Basically, the advice I'm looking for is I was considering taking Casein Protein before going to bed at night to see if that would help things, however I'm not sure should I be using it as a meal replacement or is it something extra I'm taking on top of everything?
I have my general breakfast and foods during the day which is fine, then I workout after work so I usually have a 'dinner' type meal at around 7:30/8pm which consists of meat or fish/veggies. This is where I'm starting to wonder about using the casein protein.
Since I'm eating that meal lets say roughly at 8pm, am I pilling up too much by taking casein too at around 10pm before going to sleep? Should I skip this meal and take the protein instead of it? I'm just wondering if people have any general advice they could give me.

I understand that casein protein is a slow release type of protein. That being said, I don't use it. But I do eat 2 scoops of whey protein in yogurt as my evening snack, usually about 8 pm, and go to bed at 9:30. In general, it does not matter what time of day you eat your calories, I eat 1000 of my cals between 4 and 9pm usually. As long as it fits in your calories I don't think it's bad to have casein protein as a snack after dinner.0
