People who only post their kids photos on Facebook
I have few friends that do that. For years, there is not one picture of them, or their activities... ALL of their posts are photos of their kid/kids.
I get it, kids are the most important thing in a parent's life. I'm a mom, so I do get it. But it is like these people ceased to exist as people or individuals completely and the feed looks like it belongs to the child and covers their life.
Have you seen this trend among your friends?

Yes a few of them post their entire kids' lives on FB.
I refuse to post any pics of my kids. I untag any pictures that others tag my kids in (ie. birthday parties). There are too many wackos on the internet.
Edit: I don't have a problem with people posting pics of their kids, this is just my opinion. To each their own.0 -
One of my friends does this with her cats. She has 6 cats. The Facebook page is named at her real name but profile picture and all the other pictures are of cats. It's pretty weird.0

I have felt on many occasions I ceased to exist as an individual when I had kids. It's depressing. I love them but they rule everything about me. My facebook, however, is ruled by sarcasm. Mainly because I don't have one of those fancy phones that takes decent pictures AND posts them for me. I don't think I'll be getting one of those phones either.0 -

Yes, I deleted my FB because everything just got so annoying to me. I have determined that I am just in fact, a cranky b word.0

I think there is a fairly simple explanation. They take the pictures, not the kids, therefore the pictures of themselves are few and far between.0

YES. My 13yo is in two sports and that means basically I am in two sports. Yay. Plus, the homework, the cooking, and why does she eat worse as a 13yo than as a 2 year old? I swear there are crumbs everywhere in this house.
Btw, why do they need nothing until you're in the bathroom?0 -
People who have ZERO pictures of themselves on their facebook kinda weird me out. I have a few friends who ONLY have photos of their pets, and I'm like really? We can't get ONE picture of you? You can take a selfie with your dog, but you are not your dog. My husband is guilty of this, only he posts pictures of his guitars or screen-captures of his computer games. Obviously this irks me a little less because I get to look at his handsome face every day0

I see this all the time. I think it is weird. I am childfree by choice, so it's not a personal issue for me.
Honestly, my first assumption if there are seriously NO photos of the adult is that they are ashamed of the way they look currently either because of weight or general ageing. About 90% of the time I am correct in this assumption.
Usually women who were very thin and popular as teenagers either have a facebook of 1,200 selfies and 5 photos of their child (if they look equally good now) or the more common thing is 5,000 kid photos and then one shot of their arm holding a newborn and nothing more.
Sometimes if they lose weight then photos of themselves with miraculously appear though LMAO
ETA: Most of my friends are moms, and have photos of themselves on facebook in a normal (IMO) balance along with photos of their kids. But most of my friends and pretty well rounded individuals with healthy self esteem. So there's that.0 -

Not only when you're in the bathroom! After you've served dinner and finally get to sit down yourself is quite popular. And I think I look forward to summer more now than I did when I was a kid because of homework! First couple hours of every school day is helping them with homework. We're creeping up on the point where I'm going to be too stupid to help him with it. Candidate for Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? I think not.0 -
Well, I post a lot of things..including a ton of pics and funny stories about my kids as my entire family is on the other side of the country and it's a very easy way to tell and show them all at the same time at their convenience. I am in pics as well..but I am a single mother and love taking pics of my boys and sharing them. I hope it's not a bother to my facebook feed. I'm not really sure why it would be. To each their own...right?0

Just recently I posted the first picture of myself on Facebook even though I have had the account for years. I am uncomfortable with the way I look and couldn't bring myself to do it. I only post pictures of my kids if there is a big event.0

I hide some of those people from my newsfeed, we're still friends but I don't have to see those posts every time I log in. In general, I take annoying people off of my news feed but keep them as friends if they really are, or if they are family. Go to the persons profile, and unclick "following". I am somewhat guilty of posting lots of animal photos but I don't care!!0

LMAO
Most of my facebook pictures are of my dog.
I've been posting more of myself as my confidence level rises. Maybe it's a self-confidence issue?0 -
I post a lot of my kids. That is what my family and friends are most interested in.
I don't see what the big deal is about it.0 -

yes. but i have also seen the exact opposite where every pic is a (shudders) "selfie." Here's me in the car. Here's me at work. Here's me at lunch. Here's me eating my lunch. Here's my tattoo. Here's me sticking my tongue out. Here's me at a game. Here's my tickets to the game. Here's me PRETENDING TO BE ASLEEP.
so, I think the key - as with anything - is moderation, moderation, moderation0 -

I totally agree with this. For everyone...parents, non-parents, even teens...enough is enough with some of the selfies.0 -
I suppose they couod just post a bunch of beer and pretzel pictures?!
I hide people on there who annoy me0 -
Nope, never seen that.0
-
I'm guilty of this. My posts are usually pics of the beer I'm drinking or my kid. But, with grandparents on the other side of the country, it's just about the only way they get to see him. Sorry I'm not sorry.0

Most of my FB pictures are of my kids, I don't post very often though and only certain people can even see them due to creeps. I have some pictures of myself but I hate they way I look in every picture so I never post. Honestly the selfies drive me nuts, like my 60 year old mother in law and her selfies we all know she spent the day grooming for. To each their own, I block, limit and delete daily.0

I do what I want! Also FB is just another photo album for me.0
-
I only post kid pics, because my noodz don't get as many "Likes." Plus... my daddy gets pissed.0

Once you have kids you want to take more pictures of them and less of yourself.0

90 percent of my Facebook posts are pics of my kids. I don't post pics of me on there very often. I posted a pic of me from just above the nipple line up in a swimsuit top (in other words just the very top of the triangles and the strings were showing - basically a face pic), and I ended up with a now former high school friend emailing my husband that I was getting too many likes on the pic and saying someone was making an inappropriate comment on my photo ("nice pic!"), so I took it down.
That's real life. After that incident, it went up to 100% kids because screw that.0 -
The thing for me is that my children are NOT the center of the universe, and they should not be. It is my opinion that parents who make the kids the end-all-be-all are doing their children a disservice, and those children often grow up to be self-centered adults with little to no concept of the needs of others.
My husband and I were "us" before the kids came along, and we will still be "us" after they move out. The marital relationship is the center, because without it, the rest would simply not exist. Although my kids are the reason I do a lot of things, *I* am the center of our little universe. Because if I don't take care of me, the rest falls apart.
To answer the OP, yes I have seen this trend. I can only hope the children grow up to be independent, compassionate people. In spite of their parents.0 -
A lot of my friends post pictures of their kids. Most of them post a nice amount... doing something new, getting an award, going crazy over a new toy, etc., but not so much stuff that I just ignore my friend or just skip over their posts. It's fun to see if it's not some crazy amount of stuff.
I do have one friend who posts WAY too much kid stuff. It was getting annoying because there were 5-10 posts each day of her kid doing every day stuff like eating peas or crying. Then one day, she posted a picture of a big diaper blowout. That was really disgusting and now I usually skip over all of her posts.0 -

I mix it up really, but I used to never have pics of myself, and I had friends complaining. This last year I started taking a few selfies because I NEVER have pictures taken of me, and I am normally holding the camera. Now people make fun when I post a picture of myself, so i am going back to posting kids, food, and booze.
Fickle people.0
