Morning MFP
This may sound like somewhat of a stupid question to some people, but hey, if you don't ask you don't get.
I was wondering, can anyone provide me with some hints and tips on what the BEST workouts are, to lose weight. I don't specifically want to get big muscles, I just want an effective way to drop more pounds off.
I have worked out in the past, but find that I was doing the wrong work outs and not losing any weight. Nor did I see much of a result in terms of being toned.
So, if anyone could help me, that would be great. I am open to try anything, but if it works for you, then maybe it'll work for me?
Thanks guys and girls

If you didn't lose weight working out, you were probably eating too many calories. Or maybe you didn't give it enough to time for results to show. What specifically did you do in your previous workouts?0

Quite honestly, I wasn't determine enough. I was using an exercise bike but it just didn't seem to do anything. I've got a treadmill now and plan to walk in the fresh air as much as I can. Then on not so nice weather days, I'll use the treadmill. Only reason I ask is because I've seen some post say that walking isnt as effective as lifting weights... Just looking for something spot on to help me shift the pounds0

Full-body strength training is definitely part of a good fat loss plan. So is cardio. For the strength, it's good to follow a proven program, like NROL or Stronglifts. For cardio, anything that gets you breathing noticeably faster. The higher it gets your heart rate, the more calories it burns.
Make them part of your lifestyle, not just something you try for a while.0 -
The best exercise is the one you can't wait to do. I love running and riding horses, so that's what I do. I also take a taekwondo class twice a week.
Don't worry so much about dropping the pounds. Stay within your calorie goal and that will happen.
Just find something you love to do and have fun. The rest will fall into place.0 -
Thanks Both Really useful tips and I will try them all!0
