Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a bit of help. I'm looking for ways and different foods that would help me get lots of fat and fiber in my diet. I was diagnosed with IBS about ten years ago and I have really been struggling and have been in lots of pain lately. My Dr. recommended getting more fat and fiber in my diet and I have been doing a bit of research as to how I can get more of each, but was looking for a little help and some ideas here as well. All she gave me was a silly little print out with six foods which I already eat including avocados, eggs, and fruit. Red Meat is one of my triggers (which kills me.. I love steak..) so that isn't really an option. Besides that, I'm not a picky eater
Any help at all is appreciated!!

I was also diagnosed with IBS about 10 years ago after I had part of my intestines removed. Through trial and error, I've found that the best for me is to stick to lots of vegetables full of fiber and and using olive oil for my fat. Every time I would eat steak... UGH... not good. I also found that the more bread I ate the worse it got as well. The cleaner I eat, the better I feel and the more regular I am. I also take a strong probiotic daily and I drink a ton of water. This is what works for me.0

I didn't know you had IBS too!! I think a lot of it also has to do with stress at work right now. Things are going to be crazy for a while. But I think that has defo made a difference in how I feel.. and not for the better! I take a probiotic as well but lately.. I don't feel like it's doing much good for me anymore. The only thing that really helps in the moment is running. By the time I finish.. I feel loads better. But I can't exactly do that at work.
Do you have any recipes that you like??0 -
I can come up with some that I use a lot and message them to you. Olive oil or other healthy oils are key for me. Seems to "lube up" things. Haha!0
