Plastic Water Bottles

Do any of you reuse plastic water bottles? I always feel guilty throwing them away after one use, but I'm afraid of the toxins seeping into my water...
Is it safe to reuse them?

I never thought about safe, but I reuse mine all of the time. I don't see why toxins would seep into water you add to the bottle any more (or less for that matter) than they would seep into the water that was originally bottled.0

Be good to the environment and yourself and get yourself a Brita filter system (or the like) and a Nalgene refill bottle. Pretty cheap in the long run and no recycling needed.0

You can also buy a refillable bottle and just refill it with tap water or filtered water if you are so inclined.
Its cheaper then buying water.
Plus can you not recycle your water bottles? I also get paid back a deposit on mine. Of course the last time I bought water was a few months ago when I forgot my bottle when I went skiing. Skiing all day without water is not a good thing.0 -
I hardly buy bottled water anymore, I use my nalgene bottle and tap water. I don't even bother with the brita, my tap water is fine.0

I always refill my collection of bottles. My well water is better than the stuff I can buy, IMO.0

I like the flip top bottles for spin class and no matter how hard I try I can't find a reusable bottle that works as well. So I buy a six pack of the flip tops and wash and reuse them until they are too crushed or the lid breaks or whatever then recycle and move on to the next. I can probably get a good two months out of each bottle.0

I live in rural Oklahoma. We have an aluminum recycling plant but not a plastic one... Makes sense, right? lol. :ohwell: I don't always use plastic water bottles, but when I do use them I feel guilty. I also like Lipton's green tea and it only comes in plastic... Another thing that makes sense... :ohwell:0
