I got my Nike+ about 2 weeks ago and have been using it when I walk. I love it! And I'm doing C25K, so I hoping I will be really running within the next 2-3 months.

    Please add me - Calliope610

If you have an iPod or iPhone or something along those lines that you run with, you don't have to have Nikes. I LOVE the Nike+ app. I've found it to be very accurate and the syncing is extremely easy. I love that it tells me what mile I'm on, my halfway point and counts down the last 400 meters. Best app I have personally found for my runs.

CeloTX if you want to add me.

ong idea about it...what do you do with that chip thing then? Can you just put it in your pocket??

I don't have the chip. I just use the app which goes by GPS.

Ahh...ok. I guess I thought you needed the chip in addition to the app. Off to check it out!!
I just cut a little oval shape cutout in the insole of my old Nikes, slipped in the shoe sensor ($19.00) and covered it with a Dr Schol's gel insole. Works great. I will be getting a new pair of shoes soon. 300 miles comes quick when I use Nike+.

I have a Nike+ Sportswatch but also use the app too, as for the sensor you don't need Nike+ shoes to use the sensor I got a little pouch that attaches to the laces of my asics, the sensor fits in there and away I go! There are loads of the pouches out there for the sensor the one I have is the Marware Sportsuit Sensor Case.

Hope this helps those of you who want to use the sensor but don't have the Nike+ Shoes

I tried it on my iPhone. It didn't work right. I use RunKeeper now. That works great.

I have just used Nike+ and works perfectly great.

But do you think the calories burned displayed is accurate? Or should I just use MFP exercise database for calories burned? I don't have an HRM yet.

I find it reasonable and similar to MFP's numbers. It uses what seems to be the standard formula. The key is entering your height and weight correctly. Adjust your profile as you lose weight.
