I don't understand the point of these posts. Are we comparing, bragging, sharing or...? I truly don't follow the purpose.

I think the OP is hoping for people of a similar weight and height to get and idea of normal

we posting for the fun of it, and how different and uniquely shaped we all are, nothing more or less

I'm hoping to lose another inch or so off my waistline, which should occur gradually - a few years ago it was 24 inches, though my other measurements were also a couple inches less then. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with my figure right now as I'm generally back in UK size 10 (US 6), just in time for summer!

I see the purpose as seeing someone your same height/weight to see if you are in the "norm" for your current weight. Nothing wrong with that. Though all I'm seeing is those under 120 lbs weighing in... That's not helping me, or the OP.

    5'3.5"
    214 lb
    B cup
    Waist 39"
    Hips 45"
    Size 18-tight 16
    45% BF

ETA: well I see there are some above 120 lb, but the OP is looking for those similar to her... About 200lb

    5'4" 34.5-24-35.5, currently 128.

When I first started my weight loss journey, however, I was 178 I was 36-32-41. Though at that time I wore an 11/10. It's just how I'm built, on the small side. I've always been smaller on top than on the bottom, however as I lose weight, bust and hips seem to even out.

I think the purpose is just appreciating how we all come in different shapes, and proving that two people with the same weight or height can have such different measurements. Well, that's what these threads demonstrate to me; how meaningless these numbers ultimately are.

    35 inch bust
    29 inch waist
    38 inch hips

I have no idea what body shape I am.
    I don't have a lot of curve around my waist though. > x <;;
  • I have another question for you....how do you measure, do you pull as tight as you can or just taut?

    5'7

    Starting(on MFP):
    Weight 186
    Chest:40.5
    Waist 31.5
    Hips: 43

    Current:
    Weight: 176
Chest: 39 (34DDD takes up a lot of that space though haha)
    Waist: 29
    Hips: 40

I pull taut but not so much that it indents my skin at all and I can still twist it around easily.

    5'0, 112 lbs, 32" bust 26" waist 32" hips. The perfect hourglass, woot! :)

I read where hourglass would be more like 36-26-36...hips and bust are 10" more than waist??

I've had multiple weight loss journeys; yoyoing. I lost 20 lbs before I TTC, gained 54 during pregnancy, and when I started losing weight again postpartum (what my ticker starts from) I was 161 lbs. At that point I was in a size 14, and I did measurements when I hit 158 lbs but at that time I was 38DD, 31.5" waist (natural waist), 41" hips.
    Now I'm 130 lbs and generally in a size 8. Measurements are 32DDD, 29" waist, 38" hips.
  • The other key is to also make sure you're measuring correctly. I know I thought I was and then did a quick google search and found I actually wasn't, I was measuring up a little too high for my "hips" and a little too high for my "thighs".

    right now I'm 186 lb and roughly 38 - 36 - 46

Somehow though even with 46 inch hips (previously at least 60") I can get into some 12s. Not sure how that is possible :-)

I read somewhere I was banana shaped (pretty much straight up and down)...I feel like that's not a very appealing fruit in the terms of body shape LOL!

I am too and I agree, lol. Banana shape is the most common though or so I've read.

I will post mine when I can get home and measure. I very much wish I could melt away some inches on my waist. I have 25 more pounds to lose and I'm hoping that helps.
