Hi, I'm new here. I'm usually an active fit woman but am now laid up with a broken ankle! I understand it takes more calories just to heal bones. But how many calories above my usual BMR? Does anyone know? Thanks.

bump. wondering the same thing. I just fractured my collarbone and want to ensure that a calorie deficit won't inhibit the healing. I'd rather slow down on weight loss than slow down on bone recovery.
