Hey! I'm *sorta* new here (created account a while back, forgot about it, and refound it) and wanted to say hi. My main goal isn't so much to lose weight, but to become more fit. I used to dance back in high school and would love to get back or exceed that level of fitness now. I'm still in college, and I have stayed somewhat active (taken up fencing and rock climbing in a light recreational level), but I would like to keep track of exercise I actually get throughout my week versus how many calories and such I take in. Also, I have asthma which only recently really decided to show itself through exercise, so I'd like to keep track of what exercises and routines tend to set that off.
Give me a shout out if you are in the same (or similar) boat as me, or if you know some fun exercises to do... I get bored easy. =D

Welcome (back) to the community! Being involved and staying active here is a great way to get new ideas and to be held accountable for the goals you set for yourself.
I'm in a mostly similar boat as you, although the male version. When I first joined here, I set out to lose the 20 pounds of extra weight I felt that I had. I'm about 12 pounds down from where I started, so I'm getting close to completing that goal. Now my main focus in on living a healthy lifestyle and getting fit. I went from being a couch potato 6 weeks ago to being in the gym 5-6 times a week now. I used to play football in high school, and I'd like to get myself to better shape than I was then. I've never had a strong work ethic when it comes to fitness, but now it seems as if that's changed.
I like to vary up my exercises a lot since I get bored easily, and also it's good too keep your muscles from getting too accustomed to doing the same thing. Besides weight lifting, I do drills with agility ladders to build quickness, jump rope, run stairs, do core and ab workouts, and I take boxing and martial arts classes at my gym.
Hopefully you'll stick around this time. I know I wouldn't have made the progress I've made so far without this website and this community.0 -
Hey! Thanks for the welcome. I hear you with no real work ethic for exercise. I used to really enjoy working out, but then I hit a couple insanely busy semesters where I had very little time for myself... and never wanted o exercise during those times. Quickly got me out of an exercise habit.
Hoping to stay around a bit longer this time. =D0
