I love bread... and I miss it. My only choice was to pretty much eliminate it from my life...0

I buy the weight watchers multigran bread as it is the only one that I can have 2 slices for the same calories as 1 slice of other breads. I still will only have 2 slices per day, but often have it everyday as I love bread too!0

I use Oroweat/Arnold sandwich thins for sandwichs (100 cal) and get some artisan bread at the Farmers Market that has no fat, preservatives or sugar. I have bread a couple times a week and put it in my diary. I LOVE bread. Since it is not a diet for me - but a lifestyle change - I am having the things I love in moderation.0

I use Healthy Life whole wheat bread. No fat and only 70 calories for 2 slices.0

As dorky as this sounds I eat Hillbilly whole wheat lol. It's only 65 calories a slice and toasted up it is delicious!0

There's really no reason you have to cut out bread. As with everything else, it's just fine in moderation. Choose an organic whole wheat/whole grain bread, and you'll get good fiber and avoid preservatives and unnecessary amounts of sugar.0

Bread is my favorite food in the world, bar none. But...I have really cut back. I make sure I go at least some days without bread and I eat low gluten sprouted grain bread instead (Ezekiel) whenever possible. Bread makes me feel hungrier and tempts me to overeat and I also find that gluten causes me to retain inflammation. Reducing the amount of bread I eat has been an easy choice when I look at the scale and my reflection in the mirror.0

I love bread too and my hubby loves it more.. Once we stopped eating out it has become much easier, I don't buy it much anymore I just buy wheat wraps and I love love love the french toast flat out wrap it is so good with some fruit and lowfat cream cheese... I've learned to treat bread as a special treat, and when I go to the mall (mabey once a month) I still have to stop at Panara Bread...lolol... Another little tidbit.. if you do go out to eat just tell them NOT to bring any rolls or bread out. and if you are somewhere and you get a sandwich, only eat one of the buns(bread)... Hope this helps a little0

I just stopped eating it as part of my everyday diet. Which is to say, I treat it like dessert or pizza...something to have sparingly.
So, I do not plan meals around it (and really...most bread alternatives aren't that great). No sandwiches for lunch, etc. Bread isn't usually in my house. However, if I went to a friends and they had some nice, fresh baked bread. I'd have some for a treat. Like dessert.
But...I avoid wheat because I have good reasons to avoid wheat. If you are just overeating, and bread is your overeating vice of choice, I'm not sure if substitutions are going to be the way out.0
