Keto help

I started doing a Keto diet 2 weeks ago and seem to be having a problem with my macros, I am good on carbs but am getting to much protein and not getting enough fat. I'm having a bit of trouble with the whole fat thing. I started cooking in butter but need more ideas? Help please!????

I like coffee (hot or iced) with heavy whipping cream. I have it once or twice a day and that seems to help add in some extra fat. And if you can tolerate the artificial sweeteners, you can use sugar free syrup for flavoring. I personally don't use them, I'm happy just with coffee and cream, no sweetener.

    Anyway, hope that helps. :)

Thanks, anything helps! I just tried a coffee with butter and coconut oil. Not bad.

I'm not familiar with your diet, but maybe see if these foods are allowed as they are my biggest contributors of fat (of which I eat too much)
Avocado, olive oil, sunflower seeds /sunflower butter, salmon

Have you tried changing up the cuts of meat you have - instead of lean meat go for the tastier fattier cuts. Nuts are good as well (although high in calories so eat sparingly).

I just bought fattier meat, thanks! I bought lean originally. I've been stalking people's diaries to get ideas!

I drink coconut oil in my tea. I make chicken salad, tuna salad and cole slaw with full fat mayonnaise. I eat cheese. Almonds and almond milk are good too (unsweetened vanilla almond milk by Blue Diamond has only 1g of carbs in 1 cup, so I put that in my morning coffee instead of butter and coconut oil). When I add these things and remove the bread, pasta, rice, crackers, etc., and only eat meat twice a day (lunch and dinner), I find that my fat intake is higher than my protein intake. And obviously my carb intake is a much lower percentage of my diet! Oh and I love avocado and only eat eggs like once a week. Seems to be working for me so far! Good luck!
